Eine Täuschung und dennoch eine Bestätigung des Zeitbegriffes von Aurelius Augustinus ( 354 - 430 AD ), das gleichzeitige Vorhandensein der Zukunft durch das Vordenken und das Vergangene durch die Erinnerung in der Gegenwart. Jedes der Bilder ist Gegenwart des Zukünftigen, Gegenwart des Gegenwärtigen und Gegenwart des Vergangenen zugleich (Confessiones XI).
Im ersten Augenblick sind benachbarte Fotos sogar identisch, tatsächlich aber sind sie um die Wegstrecke von 8 m 65 cm (einer fünfundzwanzigstel Sekunde) voneinander entfernt, so dass jedes einzelne ein Unikat ist.
